My review:
I can not imagine a more befitting title for this book than Secret.....
Nick has a secret. A secret he feels he can't tell anyone, not even his twin brother Gabriel , especially not Gabriel. When Nick' s girlfriend Quinn finds out that secret, it only adds to the pile of complications and secrets she has in her own life. Nick feels the pressure on all sides and as he tries to deal with his own issues, leaves Quinn feeling alone and desperate. Who she turns to in response will shock you.
Like all of the books in this series, this story was amazing! This is Nick' s story but I love how we find out more about Quinn and Tyler as well. Plus the new character, Adam, that we met in Breathless is a big part of this one, and I absolutely adore him right from the start!
Secret is powerful and emotional and I'm not ashamed to admit I cried a couple times while reading it. I don't know how Brigid manages to make me so invested in these boys, but I literally care about each and every one of them. It hurt to see Nick so lost, but it was also wonderful to follow along as he found himself. I've seen some state that they didn't like Quinn or Tyler much in this story and I am bewildered because I had a completely different experience with these characters. Are they both completely messed up and flawed? Yes! But that's what makes them interesting and realistic. I have never cared much for Tyler but after reading Secret I am rethinking my opinion of him. He can still be a total jerk but the glimpse of the pain and bleeding heart under that jerk facade really left me thinking. I would love to get to hear more about him in the future!
The ending has me anxiously awaiting the next book! Overall, Secret is a fantastic addition to an amazing series and I would highly recommend this entire series to YA paranormal romance fans!
